📋 Description

• Drive projects independently throughout design and construction phases • Design mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers • Oversee production of mechanical designs, systems, and drawings • Collaborate with MEI staff, clients, vendors, owners, contractors, and external disciplines • Develop drawings and specifications with cross-discipline design teams • Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams, and manufacturers • Select and schedule major equipment • Travel to job sites for site observations and client meetings as required

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional mechanical engineering design experience designing mechanical systems for data centers or other mission critical projects • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering • Valid Mechanical P.E. license preferred • Experience working independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives • Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team • Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of background checks, drug testing, and other pre-employment requirements
