📋 Description

• Independently drive projects forward throughout design and construction phases • Design mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers • Oversee the production of all mechanical designs, systems and drawings • Work amongst a cross-discipline design team, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications • Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams and manufacturers • Select and schedule major equipment • Collaborate with MEI staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines • Travel to job sites may be required for site observations and client meetings

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of Professional Mechanical Engineering design experience designing mechanical systems for data centers or other mission critical projects • Valid Mechanical P.E. license and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (will consider Engineering in Training certification) • Experience working independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives • Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team • Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of background checks, drug testing, and other pre-employment requirements • Post-offer applicants and employees may be subject to drug and alcohol testing
