• Make field sales calls and solicit orders for assigned Medtronic Spinal and Biologics products • Sell implantable devices to physicians, institutions, payors, and other medical staff • Maintain consignment and loaner inventory and move loaner sets between accounts • Minimize non-usage and flight usage of products • Provide field service and case coverage to customers • Prepare and submit field visit reports to the District Sales Manager • Maintain current customer record books and other records • Visit hospitals and solicit orders from current and prospective customers • Seek new customers and follow territory growth plans • Handle customer complaints according to company policy and escalate issues • Recommend new, modified, or discontinued products • Meet or exceed sales quota and company market share in the assigned territory • Monitor competitors' products and merchandising practices and report to the District Sales Manager • Attend sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows • Assist with field training of sales personnel • Cooperate with personnel on company programs • Create and implement an annual business plan with quarterly updates • Submit reports and information as directed • Conduct business ethically and according to company policies • Manage business with profitability in mind • Travel significantly throughout the territory to cover hospital cases, make account calls, move loaner sets, and attend events
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical device, Medtech, healthcare or life sciences; or Associates Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience • Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people and personalities • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work in an operating room setting • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule • Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy • Driving record will be reviewed as part of the application • Ability to travel significantly within the assigned territory • Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire and throughout employment • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds • Ability to work with a computer for extended periods • For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, degree must satisfy 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)
