• Support the Deep Brain Stimulation Therapy group through surgical coverage, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education within the assigned territory • Drive to multiple accounts throughout the Los Angeles region • Conduct on-site education and consulting • Support field personnel in delivering outcomes and service for Medtronic customers • Participate in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness • Collaborate with DBS Sales and Clinical teams on customer case coverage and sales support • Serve as a technical resource supporting sales of assigned medical products or solutions • Maintain current knowledge of assigned and competitive products and services • Proactively identify needs and teach caregivers and account employees • Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters related to products and therapies • Perform basic market development activities when needed • Serve as the primary resource for scheduled and unscheduled clinical events
• High School Diploma or GED and minimum 8 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or Associate Degree and minimum 6 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or Bachelor’s degree and minimum 4 years of clinical or medical sales experience • Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization required at hire and throughout employment; sponsorship unavailable below Principal level • Ability to use healthcare universal precautions • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and nights as needed • Ability to travel overnight within own or neighboring districts • Ability to work efficiently and autonomously with little direction • Ability to attend national meetings, district meetings, and training • Ability to wear a 7–9 lbs protective lead apron for extended periods • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs • Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 8+ hours per day • Ability to bend/stoop, squat, and balance frequently • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment • Bachelor's degree in a health care related field preferred • Master's degree preferred • Registered nurse or HCP with experience in a sterile environment preferred • Clinical experience with implantable neurological products and patient care preferred • Experience servicing medical personnel on product use preferred • Experience with a medical device or pharmaceutical company preferred • Clinical experience in neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, operating room, pain management, or home health care preferred • Basic understanding of reimbursement and healthcare environment preferred • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure preferred
