• Lead and drive revenue and market share goals for the Coronary portfolio across an assigned district • Develop and execute strategic business plans • Build high-performing sales teams and foster key customer relationships • Partner with region leadership on cardiovascular sales and marketing objectives • Develop and implement short- and long-term business strategies • Conduct field visits, individual and group meetings, and telephone contacts • Train and develop employees in sales skills, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, competitive knowledge, and career goals • Coordinate sales efforts • Communicate corporate, divisional, regional, and district missions, goals, and activities • Direct and motivate personnel to achieve unit and revenue goals • Provide coaching, feedback, performance reviews, corrective actions, and assistance with individual development plans • Apply customer-focused quality concepts • Manage district budgets, forecasts, inventory, and expenses • Negotiate and resolve price and contract issues • Coordinate with sales representatives and managers of other product lines • Develop ethical, long-term customer relationships and represent Medtronic management to customers • Recruit and interview candidates, hire top candidates, and meet workplace diversity goals • Provide marketing intelligence feedback to sales and marketing management • Drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
• Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of medical sales experience and two years of sales leadership, or Advanced degree with 5 years of medical sales experience and two years of sales leadership • Successful medical sales record, preferably with pacing or stent products • Experience with sales and personnel management functions • Knowledge of pacing or interventional cardiology customer base • Additional experience in marketing, training, technical services or related areas • Must reside within the assigned territory • Valid driver’s license for state of residency and active vehicle insurance policy • Ability to travel extensively by car and plane • Ability to work in Cath Labs and/or O.R. with radiation exposure • Ability to conduct company business outside typical Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm schedule • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at time of hire and throughout employment • For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required • Able to lift 20 pounds • Sitting and standing for 8 hours/day • Wear lead apron for long periods of time • Ability to use computers
