• Lead Spine growth sales initiatives within the assigned Great Lakes region • Lead the regional team of District Managers, sales representatives, and strategic spine technology sales personnel • Integrate a one-team culture among sales representatives with spine surgery and enabling technology expertise • Work cross-functionally with business partners and customers to achieve sales and business objectives • Plan, develop, and organize team strategies, execution plans, performance management, market strategies, and account strategies • Lead cross-training and change management to operationalize the team • Drive adoption of new surgical approaches and procedures through strategic deployment of spine technology sales representatives • Develop strategies and tactics with the Spine AVP to gain regional market share • Deploy strategic technology sales teams to open competitive surgeons in collaboration with territory sales teams and District Managers • Generate new revenue at strategic and growth-opportunity accounts using Sales, Marketing, and Medical Education resources • Drive the sale and adoption of robotic-assisted spine surgery • Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve revenue and unit goals in capital sales • Provide growth opportunities for the regional team and recruit high-potential talent • Establish relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and administrative customers • Champion Inclusion and Diversity programs • Ensure adherence to Medtronic Quality Systems • Represent the company according to its policies and monitor market and competitive conditions for strategic planning • Report directly to the Regional Vice President of Sales • Travel approximately 50% across Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and surrounding areas
• Bachelor’s degree • 15+ years of relevant medical sales experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant medical sales experience • Minimum of 10 years of managerial experience • Spine experience • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience managing and growing strategic customer relationships within healthcare, medical device, or related industries • Preferred: Prior people leadership experience, including direct talent management within the last 3 years • Proven success developing and executing strategic business plans to drive growth, market share, and customer value • Ability to build, cultivate, and maintain executive-level relationships • Strong business acumen and ability to analyze complex business challenges and develop customized solutions • Experience leading within complex, matrixed organizations and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority • Relationship management, negotiation, and customer performance management skills • Strong leadership capabilities and talent development ability • Experience managing human and financial resources • Advanced proficiency with business technology, data analytics tools, CRM platforms, and customer-facing presentation development • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills • Strong organizational and project management skills • Knowledge of healthcare systems, hospital operations, and healthcare economics • Flexibility, creativity, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment • Ability to lead organizational change and drive adoption of new strategies and initiatives
