📋 Description

• Work on research-level physics problems in the applicant’s own subfield • Create, solve, review, or audit benchmark problems depending on publication-record fit • Produce research-grade work with complete written reasoning • Address problems in special functions, integrable systems, permutation combinatorics for random tensor network entanglement, or conformal geometry • Apply relevant analytical, integrability, combinatorial, or geometric methods • Provide representative papers and method self-attestation during application • Participate in verification of papers and authorship against the public record • Complete onboarding or a short live alignment call to agree on the area and assignment • Potentially complete a 30–45 minute assessment if needed • Work remotely and asynchronously on assigned projects • Collaborate with leading researchers on AI training projects

🎯 Requirements

• PhD in mathematical physics, theoretical physics, or mathematics (hard requirement) • Published work on at least one specified phenomenon, not merely an adjacent area • Verifiable publication record with three to five representative papers, preferably first-author papers, with arXiv IDs or DOIs • Postdoctoral researchers, research scientists, junior faculty, or senior PhD students with a strong first-author record • Demonstrated expertise in at least one listed area: special functions, integrable systems, permutation combinatorics for random tensor network entanglement, or conformal geometry • Working proficiency with LaTeX, Python, SymPy, and Jupyter • English proficiency at B2 level or above, including written reasoning • Ability to provide complete written reasoning that specialists can independently verify • Familiarity with an agentic coding extension in VS Code is useful but acceptable to lack if declared honestly • Must be able to commit 10 hours per week across an 8–10 week window, starting immediately • Must be able to work as an independent contractor • H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
