📋 Description

• Compare pairs of AI-generated responses to in-house legal tasks, including contract review, policy and compliance questions, risk assessments, and business-facing legal advice • Decide which response is stronger and explain why • Write concise justifications grounded in source documents and applicable US law • Create realistic legal prompts, fact patterns, and model answers based on in-house experience • Flag errors, gaps, and risky advice in AI-generated legal content • Attend onboarding and calibration sessions • Participate in recurring side-by-side evaluations and legal dataset generation for frontier AI models

🎯 Requirements

• Admitted to practice in at least one US state with active bar membership • 3+ years of legal practice, including in-house experience advising a business on contracts, compliance, employment, risk, or disputes • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school • Clear writing and close attention to detail • 2+ years of experience at an AmLaw 100 firm strongly preferred • Prior work on legal AI projects with Mercor is a bonus qualification • Prior data annotation, AI evaluation, or legal-benchmark experience is a bonus qualification • Must be able to work as an independent contractor • H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
