📋 Description

• Contribute original footage fully owned by the editor or source openly licensed footage • Author realistic editing briefs • Build post-production tasks end to end in personal editing software • Cut footage and introduce defects or distractors when required • Produce reference edits used for evaluation • Write concrete, checkable grading criteria with editorial reasoning • Blind-solve tasks created by other editors • Document step-by-step solutions • Participate in an AI interview about editing background • Answer questions about available footage, ownership, and participant consent

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years editing professionally in film and TV, commercials, broadcast news, or creator and social production • Experience owning deliverables end to end • Fluency in at least one professional editor: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer • Basic color and audio cleanup skills • Comfortable with delivery specifications including resolution, frame rate, codecs, audio channel layouts, and frame-accurate cuts • Resume and reel or portfolio required • Completion of a short AI interview • Original footage must be fully owned or openly licensed • People appearing in owned footage must sign an appearance release • Not open to residents of California • Must be able to work as an independent contractor • H-1B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
