📋 Description

• Own the test engineering strategy for larger and more complex software projects • Create and execute high-level test strategies aligned with business objectives and comprehensive coverage • Drive automation-first testing for large features and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines • Design and execute high-complexity cross-functional test cases across testing types • Lead manual and automated testing efforts and improve scalable, maintainable automation coverage • Identify complex defects, produce detailed bug reports, track progress, and drive timely resolution • Establish best practices for test documentation across functional areas • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure quality standards • Lead continuous-improvement initiatives using test automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery • Evaluate and integrate emerging testing technologies, tools, and methodologies • Mentor and provide leadership to less experienced test engineers • Identify and resolve obstacles and bottlenecks across projects and teams • Develop, review, and approve test strategies and test cases across multiple teams • Monitor and analyze testing metrics and make data-driven recommendations • Define test-engineering policies, standards, and best practices • Collaborate with the SET team to define automation priorities for complex projects and multiple teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or other related fields Or equivalent combination of education and experience • 8+ yrs industry experience, hands-on experience leading testing teams on medium-sized projects • 3+ yrs of experience writing complex automation tests • 7 or more years of white box testing experience (preferred) • 5 or more years of experience in automation testing (preferred) • 3 or more years of experience with Java or Python (preferred) • 3 or more years of experience testing UI and APIs (preferred) • Exposure to Insurance Industry (preferred) • Exposure to leveraging AI in testing (preferred) • Ability to lead management of multiple, large testing projects across teams or business units • Ability to lead task-specific collaboration and communicate precise technical details • Ability to define and drive scalable, efficient testing methodologies • Exceptional ability to detect and resolve subtle, complex defects • Expertise solving highly complex issues and system-level problems • Ability to analyze complex product requirements and independently define testing approaches • Expertise in defect tracking management and documentation tools • Ability to write and maintain complex automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, or similar • Advanced API testing skills using tools like Postman, SoapUI, and custom scripts • Ability to adapt to changing requirements, code designs, technologies, methods, priorities, workstyles, and responsibilities • Domain-specific product knowledge and testing strategy expertise
