📋 Description

• Join Messner Reeves LLP’s fast-paced, complex litigation team in California • Interact with firm partners, associates, and clients • Communicate with the team, witnesses, and opposing counsel to gather and organize complete information promptly • Handle multiple attorneys with full caseloads • Organize and index medical records electronically • Prepare detailed documents and party record chronologies • Identify and obtain missing records or materials • Prepare legal documents, including propounding and responding to discovery • Prepare initial, expert, and supplemental disclosures • Track and record time using Prolaw or similar legal billing software • Use communication, experience, docketed deadlines, and civil procedure rules to guide litigation work • Anticipate needs in litigation matters through jury trial

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of paralegal experience • Well-versed in federal and state court procedures • Experience handling multiple attorneys with full caseloads • Experience with medical records and terminology strongly preferred • Experience in legal document preparation, particularly propounding and responding to discovery • Experience preparing initial, expert, and supplemental disclosures • Experience tracking and recording time using Prolaw or similar legal billing software • Strong attention to detail • Highly organized • Effective communication skills • Good judgment and impeccable professionalism • Experienced, inquisitive, and self-starting • Paralegal Certificate • Must be located in California
