• Coordinate permitting activities based on direction from OSP Construction • Determine necessary permits and coordinate internal and external resources and permitting entities • Obtain approvals, submit permit applications, and prepare timely responses • Interact with agencies and internal departments to build relationships and support service expansion • Manage work to scheduled expectations, remove roadblocks, and use analytics to anticipate issues • Apply technical and creative solutions to complete permitting acquisitions • Forecast permit release dates so construction can plan resources • Guide internal resources to submit pole applications accurately and on time • Assemble, submit, and track permit applications and notify management of delays with actionable solutions • Coordinate with centralized permit teams to align permit submittals with field construction schedules • Monitor permit packages through online systems, email, or in person • Monitor projects and communicate permit status to stakeholders • Travel to locations as needed to expedite and facilitate permit approvals • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management
• High school diploma or GED required • Experience with permitting in multiple states preferred • Experience working in multidiscipline and cross-functional teams preferred • Ability to work within a team, lead multiple personalities, and drive projects to conclusion • Organization and strong problem-solving aptitude required • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, including external agencies, required • Strong social, verbal, and written communication skills required • Ability to work independently and with a team • Occasional travel may be required by company necessity, up to 5%
