📋 Description

• Serve as Aczel Group’s lead legal advisor and strategic business partner • Work with the Group Leader, Group Team, and BU General Managers on commercial, contractual, legal, strategy, and risk matters • Participate in group- and BU-level strategy reviews, deal reviews, and key initiatives • Provide legal, contracts, and general risk assessments to business leaders and BU legal teams • Lead a team of lawyers and contract managers across six business units • Ensure the quality, consistency, and efficiency of group-wide legal support • Drive shared tools, processes, best-practice adoption, and automated legal processes across business units • Drive adoption and improvement of HighQ and mandatory AI tools across the legal function • Enforce and update policies, governance documents, and procedures • Develop legal talent through performance management, career frameworks, individualized development plans, succession planning, coaching, and mentoring • Partner on talent reviews, compensation benchmarking, and recruiting for legal and contract management roles • Manage group compliance and quarterly reporting obligations • Provide ongoing legal support for contracts, litigation, high-risk matters, and multi-BU matters • Coordinate contract-manager work and provide fill-in and overflow legal support across business units • Support M&A diligence, purchase agreement negotiation, integration, and legal resourcing • Work with Modaxo’s General Counsel on global M&A and initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leading legal functions across multiple business units • Experience advising senior business leaders on legal, commercial, contractual, and risk matters • Experience with commercial contracts, litigation, compliance, governance, employment law, and intellectual property matters • Experience managing lawyers and contract managers • Experience developing legal talent, career frameworks, succession plans, and performance management processes • Experience implementing legal tools, automated processes, and contract workflows • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including diligence, purchase agreement negotiation, and integration • Ability to establish and manage external specialized legal support • Ability to manage compliance and quarterly reporting obligations • Ability to lead legal risk review and escalation • Experience with HighQ and mandatory AI tools adoption is required or expected within the legal function
