📋 Description

• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial, software licensing, SaaS and services agreements in healthcare, healthcare information technology and HIT medical device environments • Manage complex technology transactions from inception to closure • Assist in overseeing and improving contract management policies and procedures • Ensure compliance with procurement and contracting policies and procedures • Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to provide guidance and training to business teams • Collaborate with the Privacy Officer and Legal Department on HIPAA privacy, HIPAA security and other compliance requirements • Cultivate relationships with business teams to address legal support needs promptly and efficiently • Collaborate with business teams to move transactions to closure • Manage and assist with transactional, corporate, compliance and other matters as needed • Report directly to the Chief Legal Officer and collaborate with other attorneys

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school (or the equivalent) • High degree of academic achievement • Licensed to practice law in one or more U.S. states • At least 10 years of law firm and/or corporate legal department experience • Prior in-house legal experience preferred • Experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements in healthcare, healthcare IT and/or life sciences environments • Good understanding of technology and HIPAA privacy and security requirements • Experience with healthcare information technology (HIT) transactions • HIT medical device experience is a plus • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills and judgment • Ability to independently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly and efficiently to business needs • Excellent verbal and written skills • Ability to think strategically, effectively engage in-house clients, and give well-organized, thoughtful presentations
