Montera Infrastructure is a company focused on building and managing hyperscale data centers optimized for advanced digital workloads. With a strong emphasis on rapid deployment and unmatched scale, Montera’s team of experienced operators delivers critical infrastructure to support the growing demand in sectors like AI, cloud computing, and enterprise technology. The company operates mainly in North America, offering reliable and scalable solutions designed to meet the needs of leading innovators in the digital infrastructure space.

📋 Description

• Own and standardize Montera-operated corporate IT, OT controls, life-safety, administrative, guest, and Wi-Fi networks. • Define segmentation, zoning, isolation, redundancy, and survivability strategies across IT, OT, and customer domains. • Own public IP strategy, including ARIN/RIR address-space applications and justifications, ASN acquisition, and BGP/peering/transit strategy. • Govern IPAM and address allocations across sites, including internal, OT, shared-services, and customer handoff ranges. • Define scalable addressing, routing, and DNS standards for a multi-site portfolio. • Own firewall architecture and policy, secure remote access, RBAC, micro-segmentation, and audit logging across IT and OT. • Design high-security architectures for OT and critical infrastructure; partner on hardening, monitoring, and incident response. • Lead risk reviews of customer, IT, and OT exposure paths and drive mitigations supporting ISO 27001 posture. • Jointly with the Principal Controls Engineer, translate data-exposure scope into secure delivery paths, DMZ/broker placement, least-privilege boundaries, firewall policy, and customer demarcation. • Define demarcation models, handoff points, and responsibility boundaries between Montera infrastructure and customer-managed fabrics. • Provision secure network paths for AI optimization platforms consuming Montera telemetry. • Support customer technical reviews and acceptance testing for data-access and connectivity commitments. • Capture customer AI/compute networking requirements, including fabric type, bandwidth, latency, scale, storage connectivity, and operating model. • Translate customer requirements into deployable designs within facility constraints. • Define handoffs between shared infrastructure and customer-managed compute/storage fabrics. • Establish configuration, documentation, automation, observability, and operational runbook standards using Git-based and infrastructure-as-code workflows. • Support construction, commissioning, testing, validation, and turnover readiness. • Lead evaluation and selection of network, firewall/security, Wi-Fi/access, cabling, and optics vendors. • Drive standardized, cost-optimized BOM strategies and own technical change control and vendor issue resolution.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s preferred. • 10+ years of experience designing and operating data center networks for hyperscale, mission-critical, or regulated environments. • Direct experience with RIR/ARIN address applications and justifications, ASN/BGP, and enterprise IPAM at multi-site scale. • Deep firewall, segmentation, and secure-remote-access expertise across IT and OT, including BMS/SCADA/DCIM. • Familiarity with IT/OT segmentation and IEC 62443 / Purdue-model frameworks. • Proven experience defining single-tenant customer demarcation and data-access models in secure environments. • Strong customer-facing capability translating requirements into implementable designs and clear demarcation models. • Network automation and configuration management experience, including Git-based workflows, templating, and infrastructure-as-code.

🏖️ Benefits

• Competitive total compensation package • 90% of health premiums paid for employees and dependents • Up to 8 weeks of paid time off per year, including holidays, PTO, and sick time • Up to 8 weeks of paid parental leave after 6 months of employment • 401(k) plan with immediate eligibility • No 401(k) vesting requirement • Employer 401(k) match contributions up to 6% • Up to $3,500 annual reimbursement for approved courses, certifications, conferences, and professional development • Remote work stipend • Flexible, remote-first work arrangement • Autonomy and ownership
