📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive docket reports to case teams • Answer questions that may arise • Research complex issues before escalating to the manager • Train staff and attorneys on the Firm’s docket software and proper procedures • Maintain the computerized docket system for litigation attorneys practicing in multiple courts and jurisdictions • Review correspondence, pleadings, discovery, filings and deposition notices for relevant and pertinent deadlines • Extensive daily data entry into the calendaring database • Manage complex, high end docketing work (e.g., scheduling orders) • Respond to requests regarding calendared events, pleadings, and court procedures • Reference and research court codes, state and federal statutes, court websites and Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw • Enter parameters, run, print, and distribute reports as necessary • Prioritize and process requests received from attorneys, paralegals and/or secretaries • Train staff and attorneys on the computerized docket system and proper procedures • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent • A minimum of seven years of related experience • An understanding of court docketing and calendaring procedures • Familiarity with court filings and general rules of court for processing pleadings at the federal, state, and county level • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail • Team player with strong interpersonal skills • Ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • Ability to adapt to new software programs • CompuLaw or comparable docketing software a plus
