📋 Description

• Install, service, and perform difficult on-site repairs of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment • Provide technical engineering instruction and assistance to lower-level field service representatives • Respond to emergency and troublesome equipment repair requests • Perform equipment installation and service at customer installations • Operate in the field, from a home office, or at a customer facility to provide technical support • Replace mechanical and electrical components, including motors, starters, switches, solenoids, pumps, refrigeration valves, VFDs, and compressors • Respond to unplanned breakdowns with urgency • Read blueprints, electrical drawings, and construction job layouts • File reports from the field • Travel frequently and support international customers • Manage individuals or teams to accomplish goals • Train peers and customers on technical matters • Liaise between teams, including management-level teams

🎯 Requirements

• Completion of a formal technical program and 5–7+ years of previous experience, or equivalent experience • Clean driving record • Experience with 3-phase motor control systems • Ability to weld stainless steel and aluminum • Pressure vessel certification is a plus • Ability to troubleshoot electrical control systems • Ability to safely replace mechanical and electrical components • Ability to respond to unplanned breakdowns with urgency • Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical drawings, and construction job layouts • Practiced in safe work habits • Ability to work independently of direct supervision • Comfortable working in a frequent-travel environment • Skilled in customer communication and able to gain customer trust • Proficient written and verbal communication skills • Computer and smartphone skills, including filing field reports • Ability and willingness to travel and support international customers • Possess a valid travel passport or ability to obtain one post-employment • Ability to manage individuals or teams • Ability to transfer knowledge and train peers and/or customers • Ability to liaise between teams, including management-level teams • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
