📋 Description

• Execute work to meet assigned objectives • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment • Communicate with internal and external customers to schedule jobs and order materials • Perform safety analysis and paperwork before starting work • Conduct work in compliance with ABB HSE, ABB Way, Safety Manual, and safety policies • Execute startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment • Participate in outages with field engineers, technicians, contractors, project managers, and site engineers • Write technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, and prepare job status, customer, timesheet, and expense reports

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, preferably Electrical or Mechanical, OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 additional years of related engineering, field, or technical experience • 2 years of field engineering experience or equivalent military service preferred • Ability to handle and move circuit breakers and other installed equipment weighing several hundred pounds • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 75% • Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid passport and driver's license • Knowledge of the industrial customer base in the geographical area preferred • Technical skills testing power distribution and delivery equipment, including low-voltage and medium-voltage breakers, switchgear, relays, and transformers preferred • Experience repairing and refurbishing LV and MV circuit breakers, including Siemens, GE, ABB, Square D, Multilin, and Switzer equipment preferred • Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting medium-voltage synchronous machines, excitation systems, controls systems, and PLCs a plus • Must already have work authorization permitting employment with ABB in the United States
