• Develop, implement, and manage predictive and preventative maintenance programs for installed-base customers • Execute site assessments, equipment installation, start-up, testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of power distribution, control, and automation systems • Lead and support commissioning, upgrade, and modernization activities • Troubleshoot, service, and repair paralleling switchgear, automatic transfer switches, control systems, and related mechanical equipment at customer sites • Complete field projects on schedule and meet customer functional, safety, quality, and performance requirements • Collaborate with the local Field Service team and TPS headquarters in Langley, BC, Canada • Build and maintain customer and vendor relationships • Follow up on customer requests and resolve issues • Track and submit field service and expense reports • Support the Technical Call Desk with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and technical guidance • Follow testing and maintenance procedures for breakers, switchgear, relays, and control and automation equipment • Support technical training for customers, partners, and employees • Perform quality assurance reviews of engineering drawings
• 5+ years of hands-on experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance on power distribution and control equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Experience installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and electrical, control, and automation equipment • Knowledge of health, safety, and electrical codes and standards, including CSA, NFPA, and UL requirements • Proficiency with email, internet, data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel, OneNote, smartphones, and mobile applications • Ability to read and interpret detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings • Strong customer service orientation and professional, solutions-focused field approach • NETA or NICET certification (ETT Level II or higher) strongly preferred • OSHA 30-Hour, MSHA, and NFPA 70E training preferred • Experience starting up and commissioning low- and medium-voltage generator paralleling switchgear • Advanced knowledge of switchgear, automatic transfer switches, circuit breakers, and generators • Advanced understanding of metering, protective relaying, relay ladder logic, PLCs, and HMIs • Willingness to travel up to 50%
