📋 Description

• Own and advance the enterprise AI strategy with the CIIO and enterprise IT leadership • Translate the Horizon AI Framework into a prioritized, funded, and accountable initiative portfolio • Define the annual AI investment roadmap aligned to H1, H2, and H3 objectives • Present recommendations to the AI Executive Council with ROI models and risk assessments • Maintain partnerships with clinical, financial, and operational leaders across four business units • Evaluate and recommend new AI capabilities and emerging technologies • Chair the AI Transformation Hub and own its bi-weekly cadence, initiative registry, intake discipline, and in-threshold go/no-go decisions • Own the monthly AI Executive Council operating rhythm, including agendas, portfolio scorecards, escalation packages, ROI reports, and decision follow-through • Enforce the 90-day gate process and make scale, stop, or pivot decisions within authority thresholds • Maintain the enterprise AI initiative registry and ensure each initiative has an owner, Horizon designation, and active gate status • Manage mandatory HIPAA/compliance gates for initiatives involving PHI, clinical workflows, or patient data • Evaluate governance effectiveness and run After Action Report/retrospective processes • Drive governance and process improvements with measured before-and-after outcomes • Track initiative-level ROI, surface risks, and drive corrective action on underperforming initiatives • Build and maintain the enterprise AI ROI tracking framework with Finance validation • Ensure active initiatives have a clear 90-day performance signal before H2 or scale investment • Partner with business unit leaders to translate AI capabilities into domain-specific value • Prioritize high-ROI, low-risk AI use cases with clinical, operational, and financial leaders • Manage the AI Solutions Team engagement model and coordinate interim ownership for at-risk initiatives • Evaluate AI vendor proposals and recommend selections within authority thresholds • Enforce fixed-fee, defined-scope contracting for AI vendors and coordinate due diligence with Procurement, Legal, and IT Security • Maintain awareness of the AI vendor landscape across clinical AI, automation, documentation, revenue cycle, and population health • Ensure compliance with the Responsible AI framework, including clinical safety, bias review, explainability, regulatory compliance, data minimization, and human oversight • Ensure clinical AI tools complete mandatory safety assessments before go-live • Identify FDA SaMD-qualifying tools and involve regulatory counsel before clinical deployment • Monitor and report AI-related compliance, safety, and reputational risks • Lead, develop, and hold accountable the Director of Emerging Technology • Build enterprise AI fluency through training, communication, and change management • Recruit and develop AI talent as the portfolio scales • Represent Mosaic in vendor partnerships, industry working groups, and peer networks

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience leading large-scale business transformation, including at least 5 years owning enterprise-wide, multi-entity transformation programs • Proven track record taking transformation initiatives from concept to operating reality where technology, frontline operations, and data were central to outcomes • Experience owning governance and prioritization for complex initiative portfolios in regulated or compliance-intensive environments, including intake, gating, vendor selection, and resource allocation • Experience leading cross-functional governance bodies and resolving C-suite-level conflicts without direct line authority • Ability to deliver results through influence and cross-functional leadership in complex, matrixed, multi-entity organizations • Experience in healthcare, health plan, or another highly regulated industry is a differentiator, not a requirement • Genuine interest in and working familiarity with how AI applies to enterprise transformation • Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex vendor relationships with fixed-fee commercial discipline • Strong working knowledge of AI and ML technologies, including large language models, generative AI, predictive analytics, and NLP • Ability to evaluate vendor claims, assess technical risk, and guide build-versus-buy decisions • Familiarity with healthcare AI platforms and vendors, including ambient clinical documentation, clinical decision support, care management AI, and revenue cycle automation • Understanding of data governance and data infrastructure requirements, including data pipelines, model lifecycle management, monitoring, and drift detection • Awareness of FDA SaMD regulatory pathways and HIPAA requirements for AI tools in clinical and patient-facing contexts • Ability to communicate AI strategy, risk, and portfolio performance clearly to executive, clinical, financial, and operational stakeholders • Comfortable designing and operating governance structures and enforcing governance discipline • Fixed-fee, defined-ROI approach to vendor engagements, build decisions, and resource allocation • Ability to manage 14+ concurrent initiatives • Change leadership across complex, multi-entity organizations with federated authority and named BU-level accountability
