📋 Description

• Develop and execute the clinical applications strategy and roadmap supporting advanced primary care, value-based care, and organizational objectives • Establish governance processes for clinical technology investments, enhancements, integrations, and lifecycle decisions • Manage the portfolio of clinical applications, including EHR, care management, population health, telehealth, clinical workflow, decision-support, and patient engagement platforms • Lead application selection, implementation, configuration, optimization, upgrades, migrations, consolidations, and transformation initiatives • Monitor application performance, adoption, utilization, and support trends • Partner with technology and data teams on interoperability, APIs, HL7, FHIR, clinical data quality, and reliable information exchange • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to identify workflow challenges and technology-enabled solutions • Facilitate governance forums and cross-functional decision-making • Lead change management, stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and adoption strategies • Manage strategic clinical technology vendor relationships, procurement, contracts, renewals, performance, and roadmaps • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, CMS requirements, interoperability regulations, privacy standards, and organizational policies • Establish application controls, access governance, change-management practices, business continuity procedures, and audit readiness • Identify and mitigate clinical, operational, technology, and vendor risks • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing clinical applications team • Establish performance expectations, operating standards, professional development plans, and resource allocation • Establish KPIs and report on system reliability, adoption, user satisfaction, workflow efficiency, support performance, risks, priorities, and roadmap progress • Evaluate and communicate clinical technology impact on care quality, patient safety, provider and patient experience, operational efficiency, and financial performance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, informatics, business, information systems, or related field • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, clinical informatics, healthcare technology, or workflow optimization • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise clinical transformation or EHR optimization initiatives at scale • Proven success driving cross-functional operational and technology initiatives in complex healthcare environments • Strong understanding of ambulatory and/or population health clinical workflows • Experience with change management, clinician stakeholder engagement, and adoption strategies • Track record of translating technology capabilities into measurable clinical and operational outcomes • Working knowledge of EHR platforms and clinical workflow configuration, particularly athena • Familiarity with AI-enabled clinical tools, telehealth platforms, and digital health technologies and their integration into clinical workflows • Understanding of population health platforms and care management tools • Ability to translate workflow and technology concepts clearly across clinical, operational, and technical audiences • Advanced degree preferred • Certification or demonstrated proficiency in EHR workflow optimization preferred • Experience implementing ambient AI documentation tools or AI-enabled clinical decision support preferred • Background in Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent preferred • Experience in a multi-entity or integrated healthcare delivery system preferred • Executive presence and ability to communicate clinical technology strategy to senior audiences • Ability to drive adoption and behavior change across large, distributed clinical populations • Ability to lead through managers and analysts, setting direction and holding teams accountable
