📋 Description

• Lead and supervise testing and commissioning of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, including inverters, transformers, and BESS power distribution equipment • Oversee NETA-based testing, including Megger, VOC Testing, VLF, and TTR • Manage startup, energization, and complex troubleshooting of AC and DC components • Provide technical guidance to field technicians on solar and BESS sites • Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams • Coordinate with construction leads, SCADA teams, and utility partners on system integration and communication protocols • Review and finalize commissioning documentation, test results, and turnover packages • Enforce safety protocols, NEC/NFPA 70E, and site-specific safety requirements • Manage and audit LOTO energy isolation procedures • Assist the Commissioning Director with resource planning, scheduling, and progress reporting for multiple project sites

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in a leadership or senior technical role commissioning electrical systems within solar, BESS, or utility/industrial sectors • Advanced knowledge of electrical testing methods, specialized equipment, and NETA standards • Strong ability to interpret control logic, advanced technical drawings, and protective relay settings • Demonstrated experience in field execution management including troubleshooting, team coordination, and project reporting • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage subcontractor relationships and internal stakeholders • Willingness to travel extensively to project sites across multiple states • Frequent physical activity in indoor and outdoor environments and exposure to varying weather conditions • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; may occasionally handle heavier loads with assistance • Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, loud noise levels, and extreme temperatures
