📋 Description

• Provide on-site and remote upgrades and troubleshooting of Motorola ASTRO systems • Provide technical support for specialized systems and product applications • Troubleshoot software-driven electronics • Provision communication system infrastructure and optimize RF and Broadband architecture • Maintain, optimize, test, and document complex communications systems • Submit weekly reports of activities and accomplishments • Install, configure, and maintain computer network systems, including cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges • Maintain server hardware/OS and software infrastructure • Troubleshoot system- and application-related issues • Work closely with Motorola Solutions customers, subcontractors, sales, engineering, project management, and customer support teams • Travel internationally and domestically up to 75%–80% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years experience in IT, networking, technician, field service, system technician/specialist, radio frequency, or land mobile radio • Basic knowledge of networking, Cyber Security principles, Active Directory Administration, and LMR Communications • Advanced knowledge of ASTRO core applications including UNC, PM, UEM, ESXi, IMW, KMF, HBSS, and PKI • Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs • Ability to administer and troubleshoot in an IT-type or technical environment • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite applications • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong self-management, people, organization, and attention-to-detail skills • Knowledge of wired communications systems, LAN, WAN, cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges • Ability to maintain and troubleshoot server hardware/OS and software infrastructure • Comprehensive understanding of IP networks • Ability to obtain acceptable adjudication of DOD secret (T-3) clearance within 18 months of initial employment • Completion of SF86 questionnaire and fingerprinting for national security positions • Willingness to obtain CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification within the first 12 months of employment • Ability to obtain/hold a U.S. Passport and International Drivers Permit, and legally drive and rent a vehicle as needed • Travel internationally and domestically up to 75%–80% of the time • Permanent residence within 60 miles or less of a mid- to large-class international airport • Legal authorization to work indefinitely in the U.S.; employer work permit sponsorship unavailable • Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance • Desired certifications: CompTIA Network+, Security+, MCSE, or CISSP • Experience with HBSS and CAC/PIV authentication-based systems • Experience developing and executing Motorola ASTRO upgrades preferred • Experience with Motorola ASTRO technology, Zone Core, ASTRO Networking, Microsoft Active Directory, McAfee security suite, MCC7500 dispatch, NICE Logging, IT, LMR, E911, Dispatch, and Radio Frequency
