📋 Description

• Collaborate on the development of and execute the interoperability strategy to ensure seamless, scalable integration across internal and external systems • Oversee technical implementation and maintenance of national and state HIEs to facilitate secure, efficient data exchange among providers, payers, and partners • Guide and support the development of EHR integrations • Ensure the accurate, complete and secure handling of patients’ clinical data throughout ingestion, transformation, exchange, and storage • Design and maintain the architecture for integration solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations • Ensure all integration solutions comply with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, FHIR) and maintain the highest standards of data integrity, security and privacy • Lead cross-functional planning, execution, and delivery of integration projects, aligning scope, timelines, and outcomes to business goals • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand integration needs and deliver effective solutions • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement • Track industry trends and emerging technologies; evaluate and adopt tools and methods that advance interoperability and data capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field • Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare IT with a focus on systems integration, interoperability, HIEs, and clinical data management • Technical Skills: Healthcare data standards and payload transports (e.g. HL7, FHIR, CDA, USCDI, REST, SOAP) • Integration platforms (e.g. Mirth, Cloverleaf and/or native EHR integrations e.g. Epic, Oracle, Meditech) • Programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Scala, C#) • Big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) • Databases: relational and NoSQL (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) • Cloud and containerization platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes) • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g. HIPAA, GDPR)
