📋 Description

• Provide strategic legal counsel on the design, development, procurement, deployment, and governance of AI and machine learning systems • Advise on responsible AI principles, algorithmic transparency, bias mitigation, human oversight, AI risk assessment, third-party AI due diligence, and incident reporting • Monitor and interpret global AI regulations, including the EU AI Act and FDA guidance • Serve as a member of divisional AI committees • Lead AI contract negotiations and advise on data rights and generative AI platform issues • Represent the company with regulators, trade associations, and industry organizations • Serve as primary legal advisor to the CISO and Information Technology Risk Management organization • Support cybersecurity incident response and assess breach notification obligations • Advise on cybersecurity regulatory requirements, NIST frameworks, and industry standards • Guide vulnerability disclosure, threat intelligence sharing, and law-enforcement/regulatory engagement • Develop and review cybersecurity policies, vendor security assessments, and commercial agreement security provisions • Partner with privacy, compliance, and legal colleagues on AI, cybersecurity, data protection, and commercial matters • Advise on data governance and data-sharing arrangements • Support M&A, licensing, and collaboration transactions with AI and cybersecurity due diligence • Provide training and awareness to business stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school • Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar • Minimum 10 years of legal experience • At least 5 years focused on cybersecurity, technology, and/or AI/emerging technology law • Experience preferably in a pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, or other highly regulated environment • Deep understanding of HIPAA, GDPR, NIS2, SEC disclosure rules, state breach notification laws, and emerging AI and automated decision-making regulatory frameworks • Extensive experience managing cybersecurity incident response from a legal perspective • Experience advising on AI governance, responsible AI principles, and technology transactions • Experience developing and negotiating contractual provisions addressing cybersecurity, data protection, and AI considerations in M&A, collaborations, partnerships, and technology transactions • Experience counseling on AI systems regarding risk assessment, auditability, transparency obligations, and lifecycle governance • CIPP/E/US/CIPM, AIGP, or other AI certification preferred • Strong technical aptitude and fluency in AI, data, and cybersecurity concepts • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks • No visa sponsorship available • US and Puerto Rico residents only
