📋 Description

• Direct and coordinate US Medical Affairs and Health Systems payor and access strategy execution • Lead the US Health Systems integrated Field Medical plan process with cross-functional stakeholders • Guide payor and access strategy using medical affairs expertise and organizational priorities • Collect, analyze, and communicate scientific insights from field engagements to inform company, Value & Implementation, Medical & Scientific Affairs, Outcomes Research, and Commercial strategies • Serve as the US Health Systems interface between Medical & Scientific Affairs, Commercial, headquarters functions, and the US Health Systems team • Identify and prioritize field resources, training needs, and activities across the portfolio • Define and implement strategic congress priorities and coordinate Health Systems Medical Affairs Director activities at scientific congresses • Analyze emerging healthcare, quality, therapeutic, competitive, and market access trends • Represent US Medical Affairs Health Systems with Global Medical & Scientific Affairs in Expert Input Forums or Advisory Boards as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced healthcare/science degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD) • 5+ years of prior pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably Field Medical experience or equivalent biotech/pharmaceutical/Medical Affairs strategy experience, OR 5+ years working in quality/managed care with demonstrated scientific acumen, OR equivalent • Ability to create and implement a strategic plan • Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking, and results-oriented project management skills • Thorough knowledge of clinical medicine, US healthcare delivery systems, pharmacoeconomics, population health management, quality management, value-based payment, healthcare delivery policy, and trends • Ability to work effectively in a complex, matrixed environment • Ability to network and partner with internal and external stakeholders, cross-functional teams, scientific leaders, and key decision makers • Knowledge of national and society treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, OIG, HIPAA, and other relevant ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations • Prior experience leading complex projects is preferred • Formal training in pharmacoeconomics/outcomes research is preferred • Must be a US or Puerto Rico resident • No visa sponsorship • 25% travel required
