πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Support system and mechanical engineering design activities for complex industrial and nuclear projects β€’ Prepare and review engineering deliverables including P&IDs, specifications, calculations (e.g., pipe stress, hydraulic, safety valve sizing, ventilation sizing), and equipment arrangements β€’ Develop piping and utility system designs supporting facility infrastructure, process support systems, and operations β€’ Coordinate with process, structural, electrical, and I&C engineering teams β€’ Perform piping and mechanical system field walkdowns and support design verification activities β€’ Assist with piping system evaluations, equipment selection, and design modifications β€’ Support project planning, procurement, construction, startup, testing, and commissioning activities as needed β€’ Participate in design reviews and resolution of technical issues β€’ Interface with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams as needed β€’ Ensure designs comply with applicable industry codes, standards, safety requirements, and client specifications

🎯 Requirements

β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline β€’ 9+ years of relevant experience β€’ Experience supporting piping and mechanical system design for industrial, manufacturing, energy, chemical, or nuclear facilities β€’ Familiarity with engineering drawings, P&IDs, piping layouts, and mechanical design documentation β€’ Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards β€’ Experience supporting DOE, NNSA, Naval Reactors, or commercial nuclear projects preferred β€’ Experience with 3D modeling or CAD tools such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, CADWorx, SolidWorks, CREO, or similar software preferred β€’ Experience with analytical software preferred (e.g., pipe stress analysis, hydraulic analysis, MathCAD, MatLab, etc.) β€’ US Citizenship required β€’ Must have the ability to acquire a security clearance β€’ PE License preferred
