📋 Description

• Support the fraud portfolio by architecting and designing comprehensive solutions that meet product needs and financial targets • Collaborate with Solution Architects, Agile teams, domain leadership, enterprise architects, subject matter experts, and stakeholders on solution design and delivery • Participate in the design, building, testing, and deployment of technology solutions • Understand business drivers and capabilities and determine corresponding solution designs • Articulate the value and tradeoffs of solution options • Create enterprise architecture standards and evaluate solution quality and compliance • Produce, enhance, and refine conceptual, logical, and physical solution architecture • Research potential impacts of existing, new, and emerging technologies and trends • Participate in governance activities • Evaluate and resolve domain-specific architecture problems • Manage and design architecture for dependent products • Harness existing technology resources through collaboration • Adhere to risk, regulatory, and internal control standards • Identify risk-related issues for escalation to management • Promote belonging and reflect the M&T Bank brand • Implement internal and external audit points and address regulator-raised issues • Complete other related duties as assigned • Support real-time fraud screening and fraud reduction while improving customer experience

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years of higher education and/or relevant work experience • Knowledge of end-to-end fraud domain architecture • Experience with real-time fraud screening across deposits, checks, online banking, account onboarding, payments, cards, ACH, IVR/contact centers, wires, identity, and employee fraud • Experience with multiple programming languages • Ability to work and communicate with stakeholders at differing organizational levels • Experience in software or service engineering and delivery • Ability to research and apply modern technology trends • Ability to research, evaluate, and articulate approaches to technical problems • Experience developing and integrating applications using software architecture principles and patterns • Experience supporting AML/BSA applications, including KYC, AML, CCD, and large currency reporting • Experience with real-time scoring engines including Actimize, Falcon, Mitek, Pindrop, and VISA Fraud Products • Experience creating AI/ML models for fraud detection, prevention, and case management, including training-to-production implementation • Understanding of architecture for fraud prevention, detection, and claims management, including orchestration tools, events, data, and feedback loops • Experience with ArchiMate modeling using Bizzdesign Enterprise Studio • Preferred: graduate degree in a technical discipline • Preferred: experience in two or more technical banking design roles • Preferred: experience delivering technology and enterprise-level presentations • Preferred: experience working in an Agile environment • Preferred: industry-recognized certification in programming languages and/or cloud technologies • Preferred: financial services industry experience
