• Develop detailed fire sprinkler system designs and layout drawings using HydraCAD Software • Perform hydraulic calculations and material take-offs in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes • Review architectural, structural, and mechanical plans to ensure proper system coordination • Prepare submittals, fabrication drawings, and as-built documentation • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and field supervisors to achieve design intent and code compliance • Mentor junior designers and provide technical guidance • Stay current with fire protection codes and standards, including NFPA, IBC, and IFC • Participate in project meetings and communicate with clients, contractors, and AHJs
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in fire sprinkler or fire protection design • Proficiency in AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Navisworks, and/or Revit • In-depth knowledge of NFPA, FM Global, and other related standards • Strong understanding of building and fire codes • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple design projects
