📋 Description

• Review landlord information and site surveys to create retail store layouts optimized for space and company design guidelines • Create preliminary floor plans from as-builts, site surveys, and CAD files while meeting store design standards and building codes • Present floor plans to the internal store development team and incorporate cross-functional feedback • Provide consultants with final floor plan designs and required information for construction documents • Review construction documents for design integrity and site-specific requirements • Develop full architectural construction document sets compliant with governing construction codes • Coordinate design intent with the SME Engineer • Communicate with city officials and permit expeditors during plan review • Meet with buyers to validate store purchasing needs • Develop sublease and evacuation plans according to fire code and corporate specifications • Manage project stages, deadlines, updates, and changes with cross-functional teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field or equivalent experience • 2+ years of work experience in chain retail store design and/or CAD design • Ability to create, read, understand, and interpret construction documents and architectural and engineering drawings • Working knowledge of governing construction codes and accessibility design guidelines, including ADA, ANSI, and Title 24 • Skilled in architectural design programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to think logically and solve problems • Efficient time management skills for handling multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to initiate interaction, coordination, and collaboration with team members and business partners • For remote or hybrid roles, high engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings
