📋 Description

• Demonstrate excellent project management skills • Support health system administrators and managers in decision-making related to financial information and analysis • Support management in developing business plans and other special projects • Complete accurate, compliant, and well-documented third-party cost reports • Analyze financial and statistical data used in reimbursement reports • Verify and analyze rate calculations and final settlements submitted by third-party payers and governmental agencies • Maintain current knowledge of reimbursement accounting and healthcare financial analysis • Assist with third-party cost report audits and respond to third-party auditor inquiries and external and internal audits • Reconcile revenue between hospital financial reports and third-party payer/governmental agency reports • Prepare interim cost reports for independent audit review, annual budget internal contractual estimation, and the case mix system • Provide updated reimbursement rate information to the Accounting Department • Periodically review monthly contractual allowance calculations • Participate in and suggest areas for formal appeals to third-party and governmental agencies • Prepare formal appeal work papers • Assist with special reimbursement and cost study analyses and collection of statistical data

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance • CPA and Master’s Degree in Business Administration preferred • Two to four years' experience in finance, preferably health care related • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations affecting institutional healthcare providers • Strong knowledge of principles and technical methods of accounting and financial analysis of healthcare institutions and health systems • Ability to interpret statutes and regulations, CMS guidelines, GAAP, GAAS, professional audit guides and reimbursement principles • Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office products and data extraction software • All employees must be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella • All employees must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption
