📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and develop Accounting Operations team members • Oversee accounting close activities, significant journal entries, reconciliations, aged exceptions, and suspense items • Manage accounts payable, daily cash management, general ledger reconciliations, fixed assets, and ACH and wire accounting • Design, document, monitor, and enhance accounting and fiscal controls • Evaluate complex transactions, apply GAAP, and develop recommendations for accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance • Ensure timely completion of the NCUA 5300 Call Report and other regulatory filings • Support audits and examinations, coordinate documentation, participate in discussions, and track findings through resolution • Oversee accounting systems, access controls, implementations, data integrity, and team training • Identify process improvements, strengthen controls, increase scalability, and use automation effectively • Partner across the organization to resolve complex accounting matters and support financial decision-making

🎯 Requirements

• A minimum of seven years of accounting experience, including at least three years in a leadership role • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Strong accounting knowledge and ability to evaluate complex transactions, apply accounting standards, and develop well-supported recommendations • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills • A bachelor’s degree and/or demonstrated experience driving measurable business outcomes • An equivalent combination of experience and education that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered • Credit union or financial industry accounting experience preferred • Master’s degree in accounting preferred • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred • Residence in Oregon, Washington, or Idaho
