📋 Description
• Design, develop, and deploy REST APIs using z/OS Connect • Configure API mappings between mainframe applications and JSON services • Support CICS-based API integrations and troubleshoot issues • Collaborate with development and architecture teams on mainframe modernization initiatives
🎯 Requirements
• Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition and API development • Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON payloads, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications • Experience integrating APIs with CICS, COBOL, Db2, and IMS applications • Ability to understand COBOL copybooks and mainframe data structures for JSON mapping • Knowledge of z/OS concepts including RACF/SAF security, regions, SMF, and WLM • Experience with API testing and troubleshooting
