• Support the Director of Acquisitions and Senior Project Leader with acquisition of multifamily senior housing projects • Identify, investigate, underwrite, and model potential acquisition opportunities to determine maximum offer price and financial viability • Develop presentations, pitch books, and proposal materials for potential sellers • Coordinate, review, analyze, and summarize project due diligence, including compliance, market studies, appraisals, environmental reports, and capital needs assessments • Make recommendations regarding findings affecting operations, finances, and future investment options • Coordinate real estate transactions with sellers, third-party vendors, title companies, outside legal counsel, HUD, agencies, and property management teams • Assist with HUD, LIHTC, HOME, and FHLB applications and submittals • Transition property assets to Construction, Housing, and Asset Management teams • Manage project timelines, checklists, deal milestones, and applicable deadlines • Manage deal flow in Smartsheet and M-Files • Support Board, Investment Corporation, and Internal Investment Committee reporting • Prepare industry-specific presentations and perform other assigned duties • Travel to site visits for potential acquisitions as required • Attend team meetings and conferences as required
• Bachelor’s degree required; business, finance, accounting, or real estate preferred • Minimum 2 years’ experience in affordable housing syndication, origination, deal flow, or underwriting • Understanding of affordable housing fundamentals and market dynamics • Ability to own projects and work with a high degree of autonomy • Highly effective communication, presentation, and listening skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Sound analytical skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint • Ability to understand data and carry out verbal and written instructions • Collaborative skills with diverse internal and external entities • Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet simultaneous deadlines • Ability to travel and attend evening meetings on a limited basis • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet National Church Residences’ motor vehicle policy
