📋 Description

• Apply a service design mindset to challenges with a relentless focus on user needs • Run quantitative and qualitative user research initiatives and share findings with internal and external collaborators • Drive research ideas from concept to production, including diagramming, drafting research plans, and conducting user interviews • Collaborate with multidisciplinary Nava product teams and government staff to drive service-level changes to product direction • Collaborate on design and research efforts for government programs affecting millions of Americans • Move work from concept to implementation through user research, prototyping, and systems design • Champion user needs and help deliver simple, empathetic, accessible, high-quality work • Maintain order and focus across complex government stakeholder ecosystems

🎯 Requirements

• At least two years of experience as a service designer or researcher working with product teams in a professional environment • Experience mapping and driving systemic improvements within complex service environments • Experience conducting, synthesizing, and communicating qualitative research • Understanding of web and mobile user interface design best practices • Ability to think strategically about trade-offs and short-term versus long-term benefits • Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Legal authorization to work in the United States • Ability to meet other requirements for government contracts • Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future • May be subject to a government background check or security clearance, depending on the contract • Must reside in one of the listed states and work from the contiguous United States
