📋 Description

• Research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, contracts, and legal codes • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts on behalf of the organization • Prepare legal documents, memorandums, and correspondence • Inform the development of new Navitus legal changes and provide guidance on legal issues • Provide legal counsel to Navitus staff regarding business objectives, policies, and practices • File legal documents and correspondence in digital and physical filing systems • Develop processes for indexing and filing legal documents and managing contracts • Support other departments regarding contracts, business operations, and regulatory affairs issues • Assist the Chief Legal Officer and Associate General Counsel with legal matters • Perform records research and prepare correspondence under limited supervision • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Completion of law degree, from ABA accredited program is preferred • License to practice law required • Some experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department required • Highly developed verbal and written communications skills to interact tactfully and effectively with others both internal and external to Navitus on sensitive and complex topics • Ability to use a personal computer and possess advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives • Ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees • Must reside in one of the eligible remote-work locations listed by Navitus
