β’ Lead and perform comprehensive reconciliations of merchant services activity, including deposits, fees, refunds, and chargebacks; analyze trends and identify root causes of discrepancies β’ Independently investigate and resolve complex reconciliation issues by evaluating multiple data sources, including processor reports, banking activity, and internal systems β’ Oversee merchant onboarding processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards; identify opportunities to streamline onboarding workflows β’ Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and technology teams to improve processes, resolve issues, and enhance merchant experience β’ Analyze transaction data and prepare insights to support operational decision-making and process optimization β’ Serve as a subject-matter resource for internal and external stakeholders regarding merchant activity, funding, and account-related inquiries β’ Evaluate existing workflows and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability β’ Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices for merchant services operations β’ Support strategic initiatives and projects related to payment operations and merchant services infrastructure β’ Perform other duties as assigned
β’ Bachelorβs degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered β’ 2-4 years of experience in merchant services, payments, banking operations, reconciliations, or a related field required β’ Hands-on experience with payment platforms and merchant processors required β’ Experience with reconciliations and exception research required β’ Experience with chargeback management, POS device management, ERP, and/or financial systems is a plus β’ Strong attention to detail and accuracy β’ Ability to analyze reports and identify discrepancies β’ Strong organizational and time management skills β’ Effective written and verbal communication skills β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications β’ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment β’ Ability to work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams β’ Process improvement mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt β’ Understanding of merchant processing, card payments, deposits, refunds, and chargebacks
