• Serve as the premier technical field expert in the Special Projects division. • Work independently in high-voltage environments without direct supervision. • Lead complex inspections, specialized engineering project executions, advanced troubleshooting, and critical system diagnostics. • Own project sites, oversee subcontracted labor, and mentor and train junior technicians. • Follow a transparent Field Tech Development Pathway to Technician Level 4. • Promote and lead a culture of safety in all aspects of special project work. • Assist in the planning and execution of special projects, ensuring adherence to project procedures and schedules. • Conduct advanced preventative maintenance tasks on commercial, industrial, and utility-scale PV and energy storage systems. • Independently diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues. • Support project tracking and communicate scheduling, budgeting, and project risks.
• 75% travel on short notice, including flexibility and willingness to work outside traditional business hours. • 2–4 years of demonstrated experience working with electrical systems, with specific experience in solar O&M, installation, or commissioning. • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field highly preferred. • OSHA 30-hour certification required. • NFPA 70e certification required (NFPA 70b familiarity is a plus). • FAA Part 107 Certification (and proficiency operating drones for aerial thermographic purposes) required. • NABCEP certification (PV Installer, PV Commissioning & Maintenance Specialist, or O&M Specialist) is a plus. • Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, solar energy principles, grid-tied systems, power generation, and solar technologies. • Proficient in the use of specialized electrical and PV-specific diagnostic tools (e.g., I/V Curve Tracers, Meggers, and Isolation testers). • Ability to read, interpret, and work from complex electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and PV system as-builts. • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Up to an 8% performance bonus paid out annually. • Company truck, company credit card, vehicle maintenance card, tools, and equipment provided. • Company-provided PPE and Fire Resistant clothing kit provided (including bibs, jackets, pants, and shirts). • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, the company pays 80% of health insurance premiums, plus a 401(k) with up to a 7.5% company match. • Paid time off accrued each pay period, 120 hours per year (years 0–2), 160 hours (years 3–9), and 200 hours (10+ years), plus 11 paid holidays. • 8 weeks of paid parental leave. • Company-provided Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance at one times your annual salary. • Company-paid certifications and training, including OSHA, NFPA 70e/70b, FAA Part 107, and the O&M Tech course series. • Tuition reimbursement up to $10,000 annually for approved educational programs.
