📋 Description

• Triage and prioritize people-data and ad hoc report requests and communicate delivery expectations • Collaborate with stakeholders to create KPI dashboards • Create visualizations that enable leaders to draw insights and recommendations • Build and automate self-service reports and dashboards • Coach end users on using and interpreting metrics • Document reporting requirements and coordinate dashboard iterations and changes • Pull, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources using Tableau, VS Code, Jupyter Notebook, SQL, and Python • Partner with Data Engineering and Data Science teams on data gathering, pipeline design, and analytics best practices • Audit data integrity and improve data quality processes • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines • Optimize ETL architecture and code performance • Participate in on-call support and resolve operational issues • Stay current with data engineering, analytics, and cloud data platform trends

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS/MS in a field emphasizing data analysis and visualization, or equivalent work experience • 8+ years of experience with SQL, including complex query optimization and large-scale relational and columnar databases • 5+ years of experience in Python for data engineering, including pipeline development, automation, and data transformation • 8+ years of experience creating custom reports and dashboards and building visualizations in Tableau or comparable tools • Experience validating and auditing data and reports from multiple systems • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform • Experience with Spark or Hadoop • Experience with Apache Hive and Presto • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and data science workflows • Experience with large-scale data migration projects • Mentoring experience with junior engineers and analysts • Familiarity with DevOps principles • Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra • Strong Python skills, Apache Airflow, and DBT • Ability to produce technical documentation including design specs, runbooks, and data dictionaries • Excellent presentation and communication skills • Regular ability to operate computer equipment and prolonged screen use
