📋 Description

• Run and own the product engineering organization end to end, including architecture, delivery, and engineering roadmap • Build and enable an engineering organization that ships quickly and reliably with effective AI adoption • Align engineering work with business priorities • Own architecture design, delivery, and engineering roadmaps • Build the partnership with Product, shape commitments, and deliver them • Run delivery on monthly cycles with explicit cut lines • Scope, design, and deliver demonstrable value each month • Design team boundaries so teams can complete work without waiting on other teams • Establish one accountable Engineering Manager per team • Hire, develop, and calibrate engineering managers • Own the hiring bar and assess readiness to run teams • Coach engineering managers to lead rather than code

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years in software engineering • 5+ years leading engineering teams • Experience leading managers • Evidence of making an engineering organization measurably faster • Experience instrumenting DORA metrics or an equivalent, with documented before-and-after results • Hands-on AI-assisted engineering at organizational scale with quantifiable impact • Experience with agentic tooling, personal harnesses, shared skills, specifications, and review gates • Experience redesigning team and work organization, including boundaries, ownership, cadence, and implementation outcomes • Experience delivering and modernizing complex software through multiple teams • Experience reassessing scope or dates with senior stakeholders • Ability to review designs, read code changes, and hold defensible technical positions • Experience owning a hiring plan and maintaining a hiring bar • Experience running software in production with accountability for availability • Experience leading remote teams across time zones, including vendor squads • Experience in managed hosting, cloud, or another high-availability service business • Judgment in AI-native engineering, delivery systems, long-lived legacy systems, revenue-bearing systems, hosting platforms, and security in an AI-assisted SDLC • Knowledge of DORA metrics, automated testing and coverage gating, trunk-based delivery, feature flags, observability, service levels, incident command, Perl, PHP, API gateways, identity issuers, event buses, billing and payments, Stripe, cPanel, InterWorx, WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento, Shopware, Linux, VMware, Nutanix, secrets hygiene, push protection, static analysis, software supply-chain security, and prompt-injection risks
