📋 Description

• Act as a strategic risk advisor for Inland Marine clients • Identify emerging risks and co-create practical risk mitigation solutions • Tailor recommendations to clients’ industries, risk profiles, and business priorities • Conduct property risk assessments and consultations across construction work assignments for all lines of business • Deliver Property Line of Business Risk Engineering practices, with support for Marine and International Multinational Lines where applicable • Develop and execute data-driven service plans addressing loss drivers, operational exposures, and client objectives • Translate technical findings into insights for clients, agents, and underwriting partners • Leverage dashboards, virtual tools, analytics, and AI-enabled insights to enhance service quality and customer experience • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, sales, data, and technical experts • Identify opportunities to expand Risk Services offerings and support profitable growth • Participate in industry association discussions, meetings, training, and webinars • Mentor, coach, and support less experienced risk engineering consultants as appropriate by role level

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years progressive experience in property risk engineering, Highly Protected Risk (HPR), loss control, or related consulting roles • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Fire Protection, Engineering/Technology, or a related technical discipline strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Strong ability to assess risk, interpret loss data, identify trends, and develop targeted mitigation strategies • Comfort using digital tools, analytics, and technology-enabled platforms • Demonstrated customer-centric mindset • Proven ability to provide proactive consultation and influence adoption of recommendations • Strong storytelling with data skills • Advanced written and verbal communication skills • Ability to prepare technical reports and deliver client-facing presentations • Ability to collaborate across underwriting, claims, sales, agents, brokers, and technical partners • Digital fluency and willingness to learn and adopt new tools, platforms, and AI-enabled capabilities • Strong commitment to continuous learning • Extensive knowledge of NFPA Standards, FM Global Data Sheets, and other industry standards preferred • Professional safety or risk management certifications; Professional Engineer, Certified Fire Protection Specialist, or Mechanical Engineer preferred or required based on role and level • A valid driver's license is required
