📋 Description

• Work on the Web Platform team responsible for SmartAsset's content management architecture • Build and migrate the new content management system • Develop and maintain front-end and back-end services • Run and scale SmartAsset's website and other web products as part of an Agile Scrum team • Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to complete sprint and triage commitments • Participate in technical decisions and document technical and process improvements • Guide technical designs and ensure successful implementation of the team's roadmap • Contribute to technology, tooling, and process decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building, maintaining, and scaling highly available, performant web platforms with Java (or similar) • Deep expertise in ReactJS and NodeJS for modular, modern web applications • Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL • Version control with Git • Experience designing and implementing complex cloud solutions, preferably AWS • Proven ability to drive project and product success in Agile environments • Ability to coach and mentor others • Ability to identify risks, create effective mitigations, and thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional teams • Excellent communication skills for asynchronous and fully remote collaboration • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer • Must be able to communicate via phone calls and/or video conferences • Knowledge of least privilege principle, application structure, and OOP patterns • Experience working in or developing in a CI/CD environment • Familiarity with IAC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation • Knowledge of incident, release, problem, and change management processes • Experience using or integrating headless WordPress or other content management tools
