📋 Description

• Design, develop, maintain, and support applications on IBM i / AS400 • Work primarily with RPG, RPGLE, CL, and IBM i SQL to enhance and support existing enterprise applications • Understand, maintain, and modify existing Synon2/E (COOL 2/E) components • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing, implementation, and post-production support • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes • Collaborate with business users, developers, analysts, and support teams across multiple initiatives • Support incident, change, and problem management activities • Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and development best practices • Improve the reliability, maintainability, and supportability of core business applications • Provide support and guidance to less experienced team members when needed

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience in IBM i / AS400 application development • Strong hands-on proficiency with RPG / RPGLE • Experience with CL and IBM i SQL • Working knowledge of Synon2/E (COOL 2/E) • Experience supporting, maintaining, and enhancing client enterprise applications • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and support • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in production support environments • Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders • Ability to manage priorities across development, maintenance, and support activities • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience • Experience in the healthcare industry • Experience with RxClaim or other PBM adjudication systems • Experience leading technical tasks, projects, or mentoring junior developers • Exposure to modernization or integration initiatives involving client IBM i applications • Familiarity with newer technologies or platforms such as Java, Python, Angular, AWS, Azure, or GCP
