📋 Description

• Plan and direct the accounting activities of the department • Provide oversight of general ledger accounts and financial statements • Prepare reports for upper management • Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements • Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation • Manage month-end closing processes and procedures • Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end closing activities • Oversee production of periodic financial reports • Ensure reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards • Audit accounts for compliance with state and federal regulations • Coordinate with outside auditors and provide information for the annual external audit

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or any combination of education and experience providing the required qualifications • 6+ years of accounting experience • 3+ years of management experience • Experience with SAP / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems • Written and verbal communication skills • Management, time management, research, detail orientation, analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, prioritize workload, multitask, and meet deadlines
