📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of new claims • Investigate claims and identify liable third parties • Initiate, document, and manage general liability cases from identification through final resolution • Negotiate and process claim settlements and denials according to policy • Establish the financial and legal merit of losses • Collaborate with claims adjusters, legal partners, and vendors to determine coverage and proper claim practices • Review and interpret policy language for compliance with company policies and legal requirements • Engage and coordinate with outside vendors, specialists, attorneys, and investigators • Analyze initial loss reports and assess liability accurately

🎯 Requirements

• Strong understanding of commercial property and liability insurance policies • Knowledge of relevant state and federal subrogation laws • Knowledge of construction methods is beneficial • Proven ability to communicate effectively and negotiate with third-party insurers and legal representatives • Detail-oriented, analytical approach to assessing claims and determining coverage • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field is preferred • Minimum of 3+ years in GL Claims, focused on commercial property claims handling or commercial general liability assessment • Experience handling commercial claims, property claims, and/or general liability cases • Must have, or be able to promptly obtain, all appropriate Independent Adjuster License(s)
