📋 Description

• Manage multiple Databricks workspaces across development, QA, and production • Configure cluster policies, governance, and compliance • Create and maintain Unity Catalog objects, including catalogs, schemas, grants, service principals, and external storage • Monitor and debug failed or long-running jobs using system tables • Troubleshoot cluster crashes, driver out-of-memory errors, executor failures, and memory leaks • Investigate Python and Spark errors and dependency conflicts involving PyPI, WHL, and Maven • Assist users with cluster and job configuration, notebook errors, and Unity Catalog permissions • Explain platform limitations and best practices to data engineers • Maintain Confluence pages with platform rules and troubleshooting guides

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in implementation, integration or technical support • Experience with Linux and Bash • Confident SQL skills • Strong experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, secret management, and SQS • Experience with Python sufficient for writing small scripts or applications • Experience maintaining Databricks jobs and environments • Experience with REST API/SDK • Understanding of file-based databases including Delta Lake, Parquet, and Hive • Understanding of cluster types and node families • Spoken English at Intermediate level or higher • Databricks REST API / Databricks SDK would be a plus • Experience with schema evolution, time travel, vacuum, compaction, and Z-order would be a plus • Experience debugging corrupted Delta tables would be a plus • Understanding of ACID implementation on object storage would be a plus • Spark knowledge and experience with Kafka or similar technology would be a plus • Familiarity with Terraform / GitLab CI would be a plus • Cost monitoring for platform services and objects would be a plus • Experience in enterprise data platforms would be a plus
