📋 Description

• Advise business, procurement, and engineering teams on complex commercial contracting and infrastructure matters supporting Akamai's global platform • Draft, review, and negotiate data center leases, colocation, bandwidth, connectivity, interconnection, transit, peering, and hardware and software procurement agreements • Identify and advise on infrastructure transaction risks, including liability, indemnification, data security, compliance, operational dependencies, and other critical business considerations • Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation positions • Support strategic supplier relationships by managing contract interpretations, renewals, amendments, escalations, and disputes • Provide practical legal advice to senior stakeholders on transaction strategy, contracting processes, and risk management regarding global infrastructure • Monitor legal and market developments relevant to network infrastructure, data centers, telecommunications, hardware procurement, supply chain, and related technology transactions • Provide legal support for other commercial transactions as needed • Collaborate with network infrastructure strategy and operations, engineering, global procurement, information security, product development, and finance teams

🎯 Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school • Active membership in good standing in at least one relevant U.S. state jurisdiction • 8 years of legal practice • Relevant experience advising on technology, cloud, and network infrastructure legal issues • Experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements • Experience with procurement, data center leases, colocation, network services, hardware/software, IaaS, and SaaS contracts • Experience dealing with global clients and international regulatory issues related to cloud services, content delivery networks, and Internet-related technologies • Analytical, communication, and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple complex transactions and advise senior stakeholders clearly and pragmatically • Experience managing and coordinating outside counsel • Experience collaborating on cross-functional projects in a global technology environment
