📋 Description

• Provide, communicate, and implement underground mine designs and schedules for Pogo Mine • Generate and implement underground drift and fill stope designs • Generate short- and medium-term production schedules • Present weekly production schedules to mine operations and geology departments • Establish and monitor mine ventilation network designs • Establish and implement paste backfill designs • Establish and implement ground control and support designs • Perform financial evaluations and cost analyses for operating and capital project justification • Identify, communicate, and assist in resolving safety hazards • Perform other assigned duties and projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or another related field • Current Driver's License • Must pass a post-offer physical and drug test • Must pass a background check • Prefer two years of technical experience in underground mining or tunneling • Prefer experience and/or training in VentSim, Deswik, MineVulcan, or another mine design software package • Knowledge of underground mining methods and appropriate planning techniques • Clear commitment to safety, health, and responsible environmental management • Good communication skills • Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act and Regulations • Ability to work a 15-day-on, 13-day-off rotating schedule, up to 12 hours a day or more • Ability to work at a remote campsite in extreme and changing weather, dust, mud, varying noise, light, and confined work conditions • Visa sponsorship is not available • Candidates living in the Fairbanks North Star Borough, Delta, and Tok regions receive first consideration
