• Lead a team of technologists and supply chain specialists shaping sourcing strategies for technology discriminators and priority captures within the Defense Systems sector • Identify gaps in the supply base and solutions to resolve them before program needs arise • Develop forecasts and sourcing strategies for critical technologies • Provide sourcing support for priority captures • Partner with Engineering and other functions to drive producibility, develop supplier capabilities and capacity, and reduce sourcing risks • Drive commonality in design features through product lines and building blocks • Manage strategic partner agreements and associated Executive Committees • Pursue and manage investments, including NCTA, supplier, and government funding, to mature technologies before program awards • Partner with Business Development, Strategy, Engineering, Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Divisions, suppliers, and Industrial Base Policy organizations to shape investment and design decisions that improve speed, producibility, affordability, and capacity
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, business development, program management, and/or supply chain environments OR Master’s degree with at least 6 years of experience in these environments • At least 5 years leading teams/people, directly or indirectly • Experience in manufacturing and/or engineering processes, defense technologies, and defense programs • Experience preparing proposals for government acquisitions • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance • Experience with and working knowledge of DS product lines and technology building blocks preferred • Experience working with suppliers on advanced technologies preferred • Experience in business development and associated customer interactions preferred • Current and/or Active DoD Secret level preferred • U.S. Citizenship required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions • Travel up to 10% of the time
