📋 Description

• Source and procure commodity goods and services from multiple suppliers • Initiate Requests for Quotations and Proposals, receive responses, and analyze supplier pricing • Evaluate and monitor supplier quality, reliability, and ability to meet delivery schedules with the quality organization • Collaborate with internal customers to ensure product and service specifications are appropriate • Negotiate to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and manage risk • Issue and manage purchase orders • Ensure purchase-order compliance with public-law requirements, company policies, business procedures, and import/export regulations • Assess supplier performance using sound business practices and follow-up activities • Provide documentation to logistics, transportation, and warehouse organizations for proper receipt recording • Review and approve supplier payments as needed • Use Lean Six Sigma process tools with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement

🎯 Requirements

• Level 1: Bachelor's Degree; or High School Diploma and a minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, and/or supplier management in lieu of degree • Level 2: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience; or Master's Degree; or High School Diploma and a minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, and/or supplier management in lieu of degree • Experience with Excel and reporting • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret-level clearance within a reasonable period after starting • U.S. citizenship required for positions with a government clearance • Preferred: Experience or familiarity with purchasing services • Preferred: Experience in SAP and MRP • Preferred: Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
